Graduation Project Ideas
Today is 4/27/07 and it's time to talk about graduation project. I have heard about graduation project. I know a few students in the 12th grade who have already completed their projects. I haven't ask them about their experiences. Since yesterday I have some ideas on what I'm going to construct my graduation project on. One is bowling, second is the medical field, and third is the portrayal of females through different cultures and times. Some of my concerns about the graduation project is keeping my interest for a year, enough to research, and what if I don't get finish in time.

Andrew, that is a very interesting spectrum of ideas. I know that we have already discussed the idea about females in different cultures. You should choose the idea that not only is interesting to you, but that can be used as a basis for a tangible final product. Think of what kind of end product (not just a "term paper") you would like to create and see how it fits with your ideas.
One thought about how to combine interests of medicine and cultural constructions of females is to look at how historically women have been used as medical sibjects without their consent. The story of Henrietta Lacks is the most famous. Her cells fored the basis for a cell culture that still exists, and her family said it was done without her consent. A very interesting look at what happens when medical science, gender and race intersect.
